2013 La Manga

(Spain) Training Camp Report

Ex GRAND SLAM 2013 was held in La Manga, Spain in March where the aim of the training camp was to provide players the opportunity to improve over an intense period of

training with no work distractions.

The training camp targeted March 2013 specifically to lead into the teams’ principle tennis season with the Inter-Services 'B'

Championships in April 2013, Army Championships in July 2013 and ultimately

the Inter-Services 'A' in August 2013. Also a great opportunity for some Corps players.

The training camp was extremely successful with a view of continuing at the

same venue next year.

The intensive training allowed for a consolidated training period with

no other work distractions.

The coaches commented on everyone’s hard work and efforts throughout the week and all the teams are now in

a much better position to be strong competitors at the forthcoming Inter-Services competitions.
