2017 Inter-Services 'A' Championships Report
Event Highlights:
The Army Ladies were on top form winning the title again this year. 2Lt Steph Hislop received her Army Colours.
The Army Men had a close run Championships just missing out to the Royal Navy. Excellent tennis even with two of our key players away.
The Ladies 'Masters' won in style and saw the return of two key players; Nell Mead & Sasha Macey. The Mens 'Masters' results TBC.
Many thanks to all the players that took part and to those that helped to run this Event,

Detailed Report by 2Lt Alex Hadcock:
The prestigious Inter-Services Tennis Championships - the pinnacle of the UK Armed Forces’ Tennis calendar - took place at the superb Edgbaston Priory Club on 31 Jul and 01 Aug 17, pitching the very best of the Army, RAF and Royal Navy against one another across the Mens, Ladies and Mens & Ladies 'Masters' categories. With the Army looking to retain the Mens and Ladies titles against increasingly strong opposition, the pressure was high; those selected to represent the Army had just competed in the Army Championships at Aldershot, followed by additional squad training, so players were geared up and ready to fight for their titles. Please click on the link below to follow a blow by blow account of the matches played by the Mens team - those looking for a shorter
summary should skip to the captain’s analysis and scores at the end of the document.
